All roads lead to the coast tomorrow night, as the largest celebration of amateur sport in Lancashire takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Blackpool.The Lancashire Sports Awards 2014, sponsored by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, have been developed in partnership with each of county's local authorities in order to celebrate sporting achievement and showcase best practice throughout the region.
The Awards aim to pay tribute to those, young and old, that show dedication to perform at the highest level or those who work tirelessly to support individuals or clubs week in, week out, for the love of sport.
UCLanSport are proud sponsors of the Coach of the Year Award which is always a hotly-contested category. Colin Robson (above) from Preston City Trampolining Club won in 2013 and there are eleven nominees hoping to follow in his footsteps this time around (click here for the full list).
Sports stars Scott Fitzgerald and Rebecca Romero are guests of honour for the event. Preston-based Scott won Boxing gold at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, whilst Rebecca won Cycling individual pursuit gold at Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
