BUCS round-up

UCLan Men's Football 1st team lead BUCS Northern Division 2A after winning 4-2 at home to Manchester 2nd.

The 2nd team lost 5-2 at home to Manchester Met 3rd, but our 3rd and 5th teams defeated Manchester Met 4th and Cumbria (Ambleside) 5th respectively.

Our Women’s 1st team are top of Northern D2A after a 4-3 win at home to Edge Hill 1st, but the 2nd team fell 5-0 at Manchester 3rd.

Men's Rugby Union 2nd won 26-12 at home to Chester (Warrington) 1st, while our Women’s 1st team triumphed 67-0 at Manchester 2nd.

Men's Hockey 1st eased to a 4-1 win at home to Liverpool 2nd, but our 2nd team crashed 4-0 at LJMU 2nd. Women's 1st team racked up a massive 20-1 victory at Chester 1st, while the 2nd team won 2-0 at home to Edge Hill 2nd.

It was a disappointing week for our Basketball teams, with Men's 1st & 2nd and Women's 1st all losing. There was a similar story for our Netball teams, with all three being defeated.

UCLan Golf 1st won 4-2 at home to Durham 1st and our 2nd team won 5.5-0.5 at Durham 2nd.

Men's Tennis 1st won 10-2 at Liverpool 2nd, but the 2nd team lost by the same scoreline at home to Lancaster 2nd. Women's 1st were also beaten 10-2 at Manchester Met 1st.

Men’s Badminton 1st won 5-3 at home to Bangor 1st, our 2nd team enjoyed a 6-2 success at Cumbria 1st and the Women’s 1st team won 5-3 at home to Northumbria 1st.

Men's Table Tennis 1st & 2nd and Squash 1st all slipped to defeats. Men's Fencing lost 135-61 at home to Manchester 2nd.

Men's Lacrosse 1st won 8-4 at home to Manchester 2nd, while our Men's Cricket (Indoor) team defeated Lancaster 1st and MMU (Cheshire) 2nd.
