On bitterly cold night at Preston Grasshoppers RFC, Lancaster led 12-5 at the break before holding their nerve in the second half to secure a 15-8 victory.

LRGS Director of Rugby Evan Stewart said: "This is a great achievement for the boys. They have worked very hard this year and hopefully this is a sign of what is to come.

"A massive thanks must go to parents, teachers and all the other LRGS pupils who came along to support on a very wet December night. We must also say a massive thanks to the team sponsor Crofter Hotel. Their continued support is very much appreciated."

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year's competition and helped to make it a big success.
