Get in2 is a University activation project funded through Sport England.In June 2014, our Students' Union was awarded £97,000 to help implement the scheme at UCLan.
Preston City Council and the University will also help support the three year project, which will see more opportunities made available for students to get involved in sport. 'Get in2' will deliver sessions at Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre, UCLan Sports Arena and at various locations around campus.
The project welcomes people of all abilities, whether you've taken part in sport before or not, so why not get yourself involved? Membership of 'Get in2' also entitles you to discounted swimming at both West View and Fulwood Leisure Centres, so instead of having to pay £3.75 per session you get it for only £2.00.
Volunteer opportunities will also be available with 'Get in2', enabling students to gain hands-on experience as part of a Sports Development team. The session timetable will be confirmed soon.
